About Rooftop & Terrace Transformations
When we look at your terrace, my first concern is always the drainage. We use a dry-lay installation method for flooring, which means we never need to chip your existing concrete or disrupt your waterproofing. This keeps your roof safe while we add features like high-density artificial grass or wooden decking.
Building a functional garden in the city requires more than just picking pretty plants. It is about understanding how your family uses the space. Whether you are in a high-rise or a bungalow, the goal is to create a zone that feels like a natural extension of your home.
Designing for Chennai Living
I approach each project with a focus on durability. Chennai heat can be harsh, so I select hardy plants that thrive in our climate and use UV-resistant materials like high-density artificial turf and WPC (Wood Plastic Composite) decking. These materials don't just look good; they handle the sun and the monsoon rains without rotting or fading quickly.
Structural Elements
A pergola is often the backbone of a great terrace. It defines the 'room' and provides the shade you need to actually spend time outdoors during the day. I design these with structural integrity in mind, using MS frames treated with anti-corrosion paint. Underneath, we can add anything from woven bamboo for a natural look to ceiling fans and profile lighting for evening comfort.

I do not believe in rigid price lists or cookie-cutter designs. My process is collaborative. You start with a budget in mind, and I help you prioritize what matters most to you. Do you need a safe sandpit for your toddler? Do you want a secluded nook for reading? Or are you looking for a hosting space for weekend parties? We take your ideas, combine them with my experience in landscape design, and build something that serves your life.
